We’re working the London business network looking for corporate partners who are interested in and keen to be involved in our transformational East London Community Programme. So far, we’ve started to see some interest from Article 25, Tideway, Aspire 2 Learn, Silver, Octopus Group, Nando’s to name a few.
The consortium of partners (new and existing) will work collaboratively to shape the how the programme looks, and this process could include; defining the young people we look to work with, the geographic areas to target, identifying finances or exploring alternative ways they can contribute.
Over a 3-year period, this project aims to mobilise 1,000 aspirational adults to support 500 young people from East London, enabling them to radically alter their outcomes in life and become contributing members of their community. We want to maximise the opportunity to create a joined-up approach to transforming this community.
We’re looking to hear from anybody in the business sector who want to get involved so that we can discuss the opportunities we have available. We’d also like to hear about your commitments to Corporate Social Responsibility and how we can incorporate our project and support you in reaching your objectives. It’s a fantastic chance to have your colleagues and networks engage in the wider community, by offering their time and skills whilst having a personal development experience for themselves. Should you wish to explore this further, please contact Ashley, Ashley@grit.org.uk or call 07787 296 195.
Additionally, we are running a series of weekend-long Community Workshops that will solidify partnerships and commitment to the programme, whilst also enabling organisations/services to experience Grit’s asset-based approach.
