Lord David Ramsbotham

A former Chief Inspector of Prisons Lord David Ramsbotham is a retired British Army officer. He was awarded a life peerage in 2005, and now sits on the cross benches of the House of Lords.

David is also a Patron of Prisoners Abroad and the Prisoners' Advice Service, President of UNLOCK (formerly the National Association of Ex-Offenders) and an Ambassador for the Prison Advice and Care Trust (PACT). He has written extensively on prisons and the military.
