Grit: riding the roller-coaster
Dear all,
I hope you are all well and coping with the changes as we return to some aspects of ‘normal’ life. Here at Grit we’ve been thinking hard about certain elements of ‘life in lockdown’ that we want to capture and take forward with us as new ways of working – our extreme clarity of purpose, our creativity and speed of innovation would be some examples.
Speaking of new ways of working, we are now delivering three courses online:
Training professionals as coaches
Student resilience training
Training peer coaches
These have all been piloted at least once and our early findings show that we're still making significant impact when using a digital space rather than a physical one. This new resource will remain part of our offer, giving us more flexibility as we move forward.
If you have volunteered to offer digital coaching, thank you and please bear with us, we'll be in touch in the very near future to give you more details about this.
We have a couple of new developments to tell you about below which I hope to hear your thoughts on. It feels like there is currently a real opportunity to think about how to rebuild as we emerge into the world again and I would welcome your views and insights about this, both for yourselves and for your organisations as we work this out together.
Take care and stay connected
Ellie

We’re designing a new website, you should be able to view it in a couple of weeks so please do send your feedback once it’s up
We’ll be running an evening zoom session for university professionals, giving them the opportunity to experience how we are working online with students currently, please do let us know if you’d like to be included in this.
